FOX's "The Simpsons" - Season Fourteen

After a 41+ year career in the computer industry, spanning 15 years at Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) and 26 years at Intel Corporation,  I am now happily retired. At the time, Intel was trying to let 15,000 people go as a result of poor business results and they made us retirement eligible employees an offer that was hard to turn down. Since time is the only thing we can never get more of, I pulled the trigger and I accepted an early retirement on September 30, 2024. No regrets.

I recently started working part time as a contributing reporter for our local newspaper, the Community Advocate. The newspaper’s on-line presence can be found at https://www.communityadvocate.com

Prior to my retirement, I was working as a software program manager in Intel’s Data Center and AI (DCAI) Group where I focused on AI software for Intel’s family of Graphics Programming Units (GPUs) and AI accelerators. I was responsible for program managing Intel’s contributions to core open source AI frameworks software including PyTorch and TensorFlow, plus Intel’s productized versions of those stacks.

I am honored to have worked for Intel in Hudson, MA since 1998 in a variety of capacities. It was a great company to work for and I was truly surrounded by the best and brightest in the industry. What more could a guy want out of his work?
