Hi, welcome to my little corner of the Internet.

My name is Derek Speed and I, like you, am a person on a journey. Over the past few years, I have chosen to follow a path that is focused on physical and mental health and spirituality. I am grateful for everyone who has supported, and continues to support, me on this journey.

I am a husband and father who lives outside Boston, MA. In addition to my family, my greatest joys in life are music, photography, running, and my growing meditation and spirituality practice. I consider myself politically progressive and am an outspoken advocate on a wide range of issues including social justice, feminism, human rights, climate change, the environment, education, and sensible gun safety laws.

When I am not pursuing my outside passions, you’ll find me working on AI software for Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) at Intel Corporation in the Data Center and AI (DCAI) Group. To learn more, check out my “Professional” page.
