Although I am EXTREMELY passionate about political issues and the current state of political discourse in the United States, I am doing my best to keep my web site and blog a “no politics zone”, the last blog post about how I lost my best friend notwithstanding. I only mentioned it there because the story didn’t make sense without discussing it.

The reason for this is simple – I want my web site and blog to be primarily positive, inspirational, and up-lifting. If I bring politics into it, I fear that it will quickly deviate away from that objective given my feelings about what is currently happening.

To quote from the movie “Elf”, I don’t want be accused of being an “angry elf” like Will Farrell’s character Buddy said of Myles Finch.
